Be picky with shampoo and conditioner –Many shampoos and conditioners today can dry out the hair. If you have a sensitive hair or your hair is damaged, then you have to search for hair care products specially formulated for damaged hair. The key here is to choose a sulphate-free shampoo. Organic shampoos and conditioners are gentle to the hair. Not only that, they can also restore damaged hair. You have to be easy on your shampoo too. As much as possible, you should shampoo your hair three times a week. Shampooing everyday could lead to hair damage.

Use the right water temperature – The temperature of water you use when washing the hair defines the health of your hair. Stay away from hot water. As much as possible, you should use lukewarm water or cool water. Make sure that the final rinse is cold water as it helps in closing the hair cuticle. It helps prevent split ends and makes the hair smooth and healthy.
